I'm posting this for a good friend who must part with his well maintained, extensively refitted Ericson due to health reasons. Tom went through great efforts to prepare the boat for his never realized TransPac race campaign. The boat is on a slip at the Berkeley Marina. You can contact Tom via email:

A little background. We bought the boat so I/We could get it set up to enter the Single Sailors Race to Hawaii, (My Dream). Well, that’s not going to happen. Everything done or purchased for the boat was intended for the race.

Adler/Barbour refrigeration
Wilcox Skipper 2 head
New North Main Sail (maybe up 3 times)
New 100% Jib (Great size for S.F.Bay) on new Harken roller
All New standing rig
Backstay prep. for SSB
Guest Ground plate 18x6 installed
Copper Ground foil strips installed
New Icom 802 SSB 90% installed
New Icom 140 tuner not installed
Garmin GPEMAP 545 chart plotter at the wheel
Icom M604 VHF below with remote at the wheel
Waterproof Hand held VHF
Furuno 25-mile radar dome mounted on Garhauer 2” pole and 6” color display below
Installed is a Iridium fixed mounted antenna
Installed is the antenna for the AIS
Installed is the backup antenna for the VHF
AIS is installed below with exterior warning light at the wheel
Has custom-made Bimini that was built to hold 2 ea Sharp 123 watt solar panels that are installed that performs great
New offshore dodger
New 2500 inverter/charger
New 4ea 6-volt AGM House batteries
New group 31 AGM start battery
All new 2/0 ancor wire for the batteries
All 12 volt wiring replaced with 10/2 ancor
New Blue Sea #8084 120/12 volt Panel
New Raymarine Below deck pilot S1G not installed, custom control arm bracket has been made
New hand held remote Smart controller for the S1G
New Lewmar windless Pro-1000G not installed
New Echomax Radar reflector
New EPIRB ACR #RLB-31 for the vessel

New Hydrovane self-steer ordered for a 35-3 with bimini in mind (taller) not installed

The boat has 3 different GPS Plotters, Garmin at the wheel, Furuno down below and the hand held
Has Orion 25 MM Flare Kit some flairs are out of date
The engine is a Universal 25 HP Diesel , hours unknown as the boat did not have a hour meter.
The engine according to the log has been rebuilt
The fuel tank has been inspected and the fuel has been cleaned and polished
I replaced the gauge cluster with the new factory up grade with gauges and hour meter
The boat is well cared for
Bottom is new and dive service keeps the beard clean
New exterior canvas covers
Spare and Misc parts the list goes forever
Remember this boat was being prepped for the single-handed race from S.F Bay to Hawaii

An Ericsson 35-2 was overall winner of the SHTP in 2004, Phil MacFarlane in Sail La Vie, I imagine the Mk III is similar.

Not really. Mk 1 and 2 are similar, but Mk 3 is a complete redesign. Our race chair Allen Cooper's previous boat was a Mk 3.
