Anyone have specific spec's on the raymarine fluxgate that is supplied with the autopilot products.

Spec of most interest - limits of pitch and roll before the compass won't respond any longer.

Also very interested in any spec's on the dynamics. Impulse response, max yaw rate, etc.

Thanks if anyone can help.

Hi Brian,

I am pricing out a NX-2 instrument/AP system for my O-34, there is a new high performance compass that is said to work very well -- but I don't have deltailed specs.

Thanks for the data. I will take a look.

The input to the Raymarine compass is pretty esoteric, that is to say analog signals, not digital data.

I am in the process of adding a rate gyro to my A.P. that I built. I am hacking the RM system to add this. Hope it works, I have dreams of doing for a few dollars what NKE, BandG, and RM charge the price of two new sails for. I have been watching too much VendeeGlobe coverage....
