It's 8 days until SSS's Richmond - South Beach Race, Aug. 22. The same weekend is the Sarcoma Cup, organized in large part by our friend and race participant Nathalie Criou.

Be aware that the Sarcoma Cup requires separate registration for Saturday's and Sunday's racing. So even if you're doing the SSS race, you can still sign up for Sunday's pursuit race and support a good cause.

One other thing: Richmond YC will be crowded Friday and Saturday nights with Sarcoma Cup boats. If you're thinking of bringing your boat in Friday for our race Saturday, you may want to reconsider.

There will probably be lots of room in the Richmond Marina Bay Yacht harbor (http://www.marinabayyachtharbor.com/), and possibly some in the somewhat closer marina at Brickyard cove. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brickyard_Cove,_Richmond,_California)
