who should folks contact for questions and/or corrections?

I've gotten a few emails at sail@sfbaysss.org and forwarded them on to Scott and Jonathan on the Race Committee.

Their emails are listed on the contact page at: http://sfbaysss.org/contacts-new.html

The provisional results do have errors that are being corrected. I'll post the latest ones as soon as I have them.

I spotted both a DH ultimate 24 and DH olson 34 classes with only one boat on each. They probably need to get moved to the appropriate classes.

Matt,

Can you please keep the restricted area charts (that used to be on the home page)available somewhere on the website. We saw 3BF boats inside the restricted area at the Richmond Long Wharf and I suspect many people are still not aware of the SSS restricted areas. The charts really help to illustrated the SSI's.

Thanks,

Tom

I support Tom in his concerns about the Restricted Zone Charts. Since the large majority of 3-Bridge boats are one-time entries, I'll bet many, if not most fail to read the Standing Instructions. Okay, I know they should. But they don't. So unless we want to post a "police" boat on station to ticket offenders, I think an alternative is to append the charts to the SIs for a specific race. The other race that attracts one-timers is the Vallejo 1-2, and I feel the same way about it (Richmond Long Wharf and San Pablo Ship Channel). I think even a special email to all entrants with the charts appended would not be a stretch. We want to keep the Coast Guard happy by not having our boats in their exclusion zones, and we want to keep each other happy by not having to go through the protest process if it can be avoided. The Internet affords us wonderful opportunities to educate - prior to the offense. Pat Broderick
