I kept my 2000+ as a third-string spare and have used it a couple times. Fits the same deck socket/tiller pin as the X-5 drive unit - just a thought. Even if you carry a spare drive unit, the computer, controller or fluxgate can fail.

I have a pair of non-ST Harken 40's that I recently overhauled. Really nice winches if you don't insist on having ST's - I didn't for most of the time I've had the 92. Tacks are faster when you can just strip the sheet off the top of the winch. Anyway, overkill for a Moore but if anyone else is interested let me know.

Good point Bob. Didn't realize the fittings were the same. Realize spares are good/necessary. Agree re: 40s. I have Lewmar 20's non-self tailing and they seem like overkill but no heavy air spinnaker use yet....
