    Alan, I believe it was you who wrote a great piece on the definition of Skein on the Petit Bateau website a few years ago.

    I'm writing a book on tips for singlehanded sailing. I'm going to put the book up on the web for anyone to download at no cost. With your permission, I'd love to include this piece. I pulled it off the site.
