Lightspeed is Back!

My beloved Wylie 39 “Lightspeed” is back and registered for the Three Bridge. She was purchased by Gilles Combrisson of GC Rigging. Gilles has some special plans for both racing and cruising. She was always fast, safe and saved my butt many a time. Happy to see her back in action again. Good luck Gilles, and Go Lightspeed!

That is great. I recall greeting light speed on a squally evening in Hanalai Bay a few minutes after crossing the finish line to the SHTP. A somewhat dazed skipper, shining a head lamp, dug out an anchor and handed it over to the greeting team to get Lightspeed put to bed amongst the other finishers. Great boat.

That was a very wet night and I was sure glad to see you and the Sea Squirrel crew (and my admiral Linda!). I am pretty sure she will be seeing Hawaii again. Great to know she is in good hands….
