All of that sounds interesting enough to me.

The US doesn't really have a pipeline for the offshore Olympic medal, so it'll be interesting to see what evolves. I suspect the big names, or at...

My thoughts after posting this message were, meh, looks like this idea isn't going to excite anyone in the theory stage.

So, guess I should show up for a few events and talk to folks and see...

Istvan, like many of us, probably suffers from extreme memory loss when it comes to offshore sailing. Funny how we remember the big...

I am particularly terrible at talking about, or really even figuring out, why I'm so into this ridiculous, expensive, somewhat dangerous venture of singlehanding offshore.

Iím about to start talking at length, always a risk, so let me present my lack of qualifications first, so the discussion thus enabled has context. I am not old enough to be widely experienced (36),...

    Shtp 2020!

In 2014, I sold my Moore 24 and migrated to the other coast. I never made it to Hawaii in the Moore--I think I sailed about five shorthanded races, total--but the idea was firmly planted.

    Later...

    Moore 24 "Hurricane" For Sale

1982 Moore 24 #110 "Hurricane" is for sale. I'm moving to the East Coast and feel this boat should stay with its pals out West.

She's a classic-deck and -cockpit Moore that I've always drysailed....

As a dude prepping a Moore for the SHTP that lives in Fernley, I was kind of astonished that someone's doing it in Reno. Excellent! Perhaps we can have a singlehandled tahoe-pac to prep.

  23. Collecting Used Offshore comm/nav/saftey parts

I'm setting up my Moore for the 2013 LongPac and the 2014 SHTP. I have...well... a VHF, and it transmits intermittantly (hence the check in penalty in the V1-2). It follows that I need some things,...
