Conceived as a revamp of the Olson 30, the Olson 29 was in 1984. The 29 has the same hull as the 30,...
Let's see...Quancy has forced air heating, Johnson has a bathtub and a rubber duckie, what next, a Jacuzzi?
Count me in. I have a Holder 14 which would be perfect for a raid. Where would we start?
Man, does that sound familiar. In 15 the wind wasn't nearly as bad as you all experienced this time but the sleep issue and hand steering sucked. I wish I had done what you did and hove to for awhile...
Yea, he's always bragging about baking pizza while the rest of the fleet are freezing their buns off. That is... when he's not helping people like me with gummed up rudders.
Good luck to all you gals and guys.
Be safe, stay warm, and have a blast.
Bob, I have an extra rubber duck if you need one for your bathtub.
Raft is sold.
19 LongPackers and 20 SHTPers. I have a nice Iridium Go available for sale.

Very nice!!
Given it's a rainy Sunday with varnish drying on a boat project in my garage and nothing better to do, I thought I would go back and look at some old posts.
I was struck by my shock and awe at...
I took all my head plumbing out along with holding tank. This created a ton of additional room. The bloody hoses took up a huge amount of space. I left the bowl in place and poured an epoxy plug to...
Got feedback on survey tool and am working on initial template.
Ok, cool. I am reaching out to the guy who did the surveys I was referring to. I want to see if he will share the methodology he used. Should have some feedback in a couple of days.
Well, that's that then.
Carliane, you are going in 2020!
We now have the first confirmed participant in the 2020 SHTP. And a new record will be established. Yea!!
Yes, for now. Nothing all that big, but I don't want to place a marker just yet cause then I have to actually do it. Not sailing related but, in many ways, very similar.
These are really interesting Bill. I am working on another little adventure, people interested in that activity have assembled a large # of stats on various aspects of the activity such as...
I bought my Holder 14 for $800. Great shape too. No trailer.
Yea, I built mine in my garage in Albuquerque, NM. It says 100 pages but it's not that bad, however the fact that it is foldable made it a bit more complicated than the run of the mill dingy.
BTW, this is my cruising dingy, well, a sister ship anyway. I built my six footer about 10 years ago. It's tiny but it gets the job done. I use a couple of throwable pads to sit on when I am rowing....
