Looking at the new tracker. Wondering the details on reporting times and display times? The boats don't update that often right now. Can't see Elizabeth Ann and a few others.
Thanks,

Correction: tonight
They should get into Neah Bay tonight or may be there already.
I don't know how things have gone down in past races, but Bandicoot and Frolic are about 19 minutes apart on corrected time. 3rd, 4th and 5th are 14 hours apart with Elizabeth Ann and Scaramouche...
I will be setting up a phone on Wednesday or Thursday. If you are going to be at CYC, we can compare notes.
We kept our boat in Berkeley for years. Since the recession, there are usually slips. It is an easier place to get into good wind if you need to shake down any last minute changes. I was thinking...
Nawiliwili is safe and sheltered. It is small, so call up the harbormaster and see what availability there is. There is an area to anchor there too if you feel good about that. There were a fair...

Thank you to Captain Crawford.
I have been following this thread with great interest. I have not done the race, but have spent some time at sea. I can see both sides of the argument and the emotions they provoke. In my view, there...
I have been a bit slow posting these. You can find some pics of the awards presentations here and here. It was a great evening.

Pictures of Harrier, Solar Wind, Culebra as well as Saraband's finish can be found here and here.
A local sailor, Phil, took us out on his boat Rebel. I got pictures of Ronnie's finish on Warrior's Wish. You can see the pictures here and here. A big thanks to Phil, his son and crew for taking...
I have posted some photos from Hanalei. These are mostly tourist shots. There are some distant pics of Hecla and Idefix at anchor. I hope to get more race related photos soon. You can see them...
Here are some of the positions for 0900 plotted over the 1000 wind for Saturday 6/26.

Nice pictures. I have enlarged some of them to show boat details. You can see them at http://sv-maitreya.blogspot.com/2010/06/shtp-start-photos.html or...
Since I am not ready for the race this year and my wife booked some accommodations, we will probably go to Hawaii. I would be willing to crew back to the Bay Area or Puget Sound. I have about 6000...
Where else do you get match ups like this? It comes down to sailing the boat, whatever it is, as fast as possible. And you don't have to be a millionaire.

Milltech Marine has splitters, receivers, and transceivers. http://www.milltechmarine.com/
I think WM now sells the stuff too. There are a lot of places.
As for disconnecting one for the other....
As for radar... AIS would probably suit you better. Mine is a transciever and does not use much power. Requires a VHF antenna.

It has gotten quite pissy in the East Bay today. Wondering how he is doing out there.

I will probably be the back-of-the-pack comm boat for the race. I would not mind practicing the procedure a bit on the Late Pac. We could do checkins on SSB and possibly VHF. Think about if you...
Thanks for posting all this.
I have a couple questions about general routing:
- The boat tracks from the last couple of races look very direct compared to the S or dog leg described in some of...
I went to the event management site and found that the Farrallones Race registration will only be open one day? Is that correct or is it a computer glitch? I may not have computer access that day...
