Default Thanks to the Three Bridge Race Deck

Wow! What a great day to go sailing. Thanks to the race deck for all the hard work. I know it must have been frustrating with that broken radio.

Here's my track around the bay. I was 20 min. late to the start because I got stuck in the flood and misjudged the time needed to get there.

I took a few videos with the GoPro camera on the trip around: They are online at:

I'll second the thanks to the organizers and race deck. What a fun day! I was aboard Dream Keeper and kept my camera handy throughout the race. You can see a gallery of images at this link:

Those are beautiful pictures. What kind of equipment do you have?

Thanks! Yesterday I was using a Nikon D700, 70-300mm and 17-35mm lenses. The 70-300 is great for shooting other boats. Just enough reach for compression, quite sharp, and not so expensive that I'm afraid to have it out when things get it a little wet.

Ditto, thanks to the SSS crew--and mother nature--for making my first ever race on the bay a memorable one. Can't wait for the results to see if I beat a single other boat (besides the DNFs)!
I don't suppose there are any more of those freebie SSS burgees to lift my windburned, bone-chilled, soaked-foulie spirits, now, are there...?

Thanks for the kind words. Why didn't I see these earlier? I coulda used some nice words with some serious vitriol traveling around slamming the deck for the results or lack thereof. Lanikai, see us at the awards meeting and I am sure a burgee can be arranged for a meezily $$$$, and maybe even free if you are a new member. Matt, I finally watched your videos and posted them on my Facebook page. Thanks!
