Default Three Bridge Fiasco time lapse video of the starts

From the race deck. Runs from about 0855 until a bit beyond the last start. Uploaded as an mp4 so you can download and play back more slowly if you prefer. Lots of impressive reverse and lateral maneuvering.

This is cool! Many thanks to everyone for all the hard work on the race deck! I had a great time today -- my first (partial) TBF :-)

That IS cool. A bit too fast to track down the last 15 boats, but that's okay. 15 is just the right number to man the race deck for next year's 3BF.

That's what you have to do if you don't remember to call in your DNF. Please look at the preliminary results and make the call of shame if you forgot. You know the #.

Default Jan sailing in Nor Cal.

Nice temps ! Great job to the Race Deck and the Dark and Stormy ! Enjoyed the chatter on VTS as I made my way towards Red Rock. "Big Blue" must have had a good day as well.

Fun video. At high speed, there are some obvious violations of the new start-line-restricted-after-your start rule. Several of them stern first.

Yeah, that was how our 6-man "front line" of spotters/recorders occupied their time. Plenty of OE's and start line violations recorded and ready to go, all for naught. They were also recorded for posterity on the GoPro and club cameras (I assume - I haven't needed to review those). Not to be used in anger or anything, we just needed something to do!

    Hi Brian,

Cool video, can you share what sort of camera setup you used to make it?

    Thanks!

Thanks! I used a Google Nexus 5 smartphone (http://www.google.com/nexus/5/). The stock camera app has a time lapse feature built in. I set the interval to 5 seconds and attached the phone to the GGYC railing using a GorillaPod (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1).
