I have tried to find these but no luck...anyone know where they can be viewed?
    Thanks in advance

They aren't coming up for me either - I assume it's another casualty of the website consolidation.

Here's the page - at the bottom is the position report archive if you want to plot a few points:

Hmm well the archived google map code is broken.

    The archived data here

    http://sfbaysss.net/archive-shtp-web.../race_tracker/

seems incomplete. The files in the /kml folder have just one data point per file.

In the file positions.zip, we find data but for only half the race:

Size: 38.4 KB

There seems to be a complete list of position reports here: http://sfbaysss.net/archive-shtp-web...r/archive.html

But one would have to go through carefully to get the boat tracks from this.

I guess we might need Matt's help to do a more thorough recovery.

Thanks Pogs. As I recall it was a strange year (again) weather-wise. I'm not sure looking at these routes would be that helpful for 2014.

I have a snapshot of all the tracks, without boat names. I'll see if I can find it and post it.

There were no trackers that year, so some hand-transcribing of verbal position reports was involved. I'm sure there's at least one error, because my track shows a kick up to the north at one point that I know I didn't make.

Thank you, much appreciated. That really was a strange year with so many tracks north of the rhumbline

Yes. A poorly forecast weak low came through and broke up the high creating light-air, inconsistent weak trades and even a port-tack beat in the middle of the trades on the front of the low. Still, as is typical the southerly boats made out huge on the northerly ones.
