Light winds made for some good picture taking opportunities. Thanks for all your efforts on the race committee and everyone in the SSS for participating.

    Before the start.

Typical slow race but able to finish. On my way back home there were still boats on their way to finish with 45 minutes to go to deadline. It would suck just not to make the deadline...

    Talking A True Rainbow

We do have an amazing rainbow of colors in our SMALL shorthanded fleet of 2015 TBF participants. I'm always overjoyed to see everyone come out on a January day to do the fiasco. Would you rather be sailing in Rhode Island now?

Coming back to Alameda, I got passed by Azure with a little more waterline than Tinker. I dream of sailing a 2x larger blue boat like that Cal 40 for the trip to Hawaii or maybe a red Olson 30. There are a few around.

Hey BobJ, thanks for point out that photo. I know that red boat! Too bad the wind died so quickly right after that photo. In my haste to get a PHRF I didn't have time to measure the spinnaker so my current rating is non-spinnie. It's interesting to note that no non-spinnaker boat finished.

I could not finish but, by god, i got around the third martk, red rock, at 6:45pm some other guy was out there going around the other way. I was non spinnaker.

I had to get back to my home in the delta so packed it in when i got round my final mark and headed for an overnight in benecia.

This was my first race with the SSS and i really wanted to finish but i had an absolute blast regardless. Going to keep at it.

Carliane and I were wondering about you, Mike! She has a Freedom and my name is Jacqueline: It is kismet that we should be fascinated by this new singlehander named Mike Cunningham. Congratulations on making all three marks! I hope you will come to the Awards meeting on Feb 11: the tshirts are always beautiful. If you can't make it, pm me and I will collect your shirt and save it for you.
