    Ha, that was great!! Challenge on Though, I will first need to figure out how to work my "new" GoPro and get a mount for it. You should download RaceQs so we can see your tracks, too. Real easy to use.

    That is awesome! Game on. FYI, your trophy is coming in the mail -- there was a delay in getting it, but I hope you like it! Now I have to work on winning it from you

    RaceQS is a great idea, I will try to do that too.

    Jackie - what were conditions like? What course did you take? I know it goes against our competitive instincts, but for these records, I was thinking it would be a good idea to share information - in that way, they can serve as a platform for learning, right?

    Conditions were 11 knots at first, 17 on the return. I sailed clockwise, there was an ebb out, a flood on the way back. Dura Mater does better with high wind. Bring it on, Tom!

    Sailing instructions for the singlehanded TAKE ALCATRAZ challenge

    Start = Berkeley Yacht Club buoy. It's yellow. It's dirty. Approximately 37 52 005 122 19 668 (East of Olympic Circle C)

    Begin @ any time on any day. End where you began. Corinthian ethic: take your own time. Post it here.

    Wait, is 2:22:37 or 3:22:37 (per the "sailing tomorrow" thread)?

    3:22:37 is the standing record. Go for it.

    Since we don't have our own private jibeset, here is the formula for correcting time:

    CT= ET x TCF
    TCF=715/ (515 + HC)

    CT=corrected time
    TCF = Time correction factor
    HC = Handicap rating number (phrf)
    ET = elapsed time

    I know. It's fun.
