Default Another silly question re food

How does the inspector determine there is 30 days of food aboard?

"Yea - that looks about right, you'll finish with a BMI to be proud of"

    or

some sort of daily caloric requirement?

if the latter, how many calories and how do I document?

I added the calories in my freeze dried, beverage and snack boxes, and was over 40 days @ 1800 cal/day. with plenty more not counted. Plus I'm quite overweight and have a lot of fishing gear.

I just ask them how many Pop-Tarts they eat each day and multiply it out.

I have 15 days at 3000 calories a day and 15 days at 1800 calories.
