    Default Free weather routing app

The link below is a review that was posted today on Panbo about a free weather routing app called FastSeas that also allows you to input your own polars and vessel performance preferences. It looks pretty cool, but I haven't used any routing program before so I'd be curious what others who are familiar with them think about this one.

Hmm, just found this: http://www.cruisersforum.com/forums/...om-161315.html, where the posters gave it overall very good reviews.

It was also updated in April with the following features:

-- Easily create a basic polar diagram for your vessel - providing just the waterline length and closest point of sail
-- Import and export polar data. Aleady heave polar data for qtVlm or OpenCpn? Now you can import it into FastSeas
-- Adjust your vessel's performance. Loaded down with provisions for the season? Maybe you only expect 90% of normal sailing performance
-- Include "motoring" logic in the route calculation - e.g. "start motoring at 6 kn when boat speed drops below 3 kn"
-- Animate voyage - showing forecast weather along your route
-- Departure Planning - find that weather window
-- See forecast wave heights - ocean current visualization coming soon.

This might be worth a try. I could also just stare at that Windyty graphic forever.
