Default Sail a Small Boat Day 2017 RYC

So RYC Sail A Small Boat Day is this Saturday.

They say you should dress prepared to swim. I do not want to swim. Does anyone know what slightly larger, non-swimming boats will be there? Open 5.70, U20, U24?

    Is a WETA a non-swimming boat?

I'm thinking about downsizing to something on a trailer... but not a dinghy where you hike and fall out a lot.

    Thanks.

There have been U20s at the event for the past several years. They are great boats. I hear the Wylie Wabbit will be represented too. Check out a Thistle if anyone shows up with one. It’s like the Cal 40 of dinghies.

What’s a “non-swimming boat?” Well, that depends on you. The Weta trimaran almost never capsizes. I never capsize my El Toro but crash Lasers regularly.

I plan on showing up. Am hoping for another ride on the RS Aero (a swimming boat). This is a really fun event!

Yeah I was checking out a used Thistle on Craigslist the other day , they look nice. Pretty competitive class I gather.
