I need the backstory behind that photograph.

Glad you're still alive and kicking' !!

Won't be able to raise a glass with you at your party.

I have enjoyed meeting you and sailing/racing.

So, I'll wish you fair winds and following seas and hope we cross tacks again sometime.

Thanks Greg! I'm saving those photos. And thank you to everyone for the good wishes and cool gift last night.

For the benefit of Alan and anyone else who's curious: I've raced Bay View Boat Club's Plastic Classic a few times. I had this idea percolating for a while that what the event needed was some sort of counterpoint to the T mark. Why not clerical garb?

Just a few days before the race, I mentioned the notion in passing to Marianne Armand. Surely it was too late to put it into effect, but bless her, Marianne took the idea and ran with it, coming up with the wimples and veils, crosses and beads. I dragged out my college graduation gown - I don't know why we had to buy them, but I'm glad I hung onto it - and we were in business.

Marianne, Julia Smith, and Christine Weaver took their vows, and Maxi Priest and his Nasty Habits (as Erik dubbed us) set out to save some souls.

Several months later, when Pope Benedict resigned, Erik promoted me with the aid of Photoshop.

I love that photo and the name! Have fun, Max. Please post some video of your new sailing vessel in the desert

Excellent. Now say ten hail Mary's and God will help you retrieve that spinnaker.
