CHANGABANG aboard STAR LIMA is steaming north at 15.4 knots in the Pacific from Panama to Puerto Quetzal, Guatamala. Apparently she will then call at Manzanillo, MX, before embarking for San Diego. San Diego's port schedule shows STAR LIMA arriving 3/07/20 at Berth 10-4 (10th Ave. Marine Terminal) That's only 19 days in the future!

Personal experience has shown unless identification and proof of business is presented, entering a marine terminal is unavailable.

The quiz question above, accidentally deleted, was "what two SSS Bay Area singlehanders on what boat will pass CHANGABANG aboard STAR LIMA, likely within sight, on March 6-7, between Ensenada and Cedros Island?" "And the correct answer is not TIGER BEETLE."

Despite Jackie's supposed hints, the quiz has not yet been answered....

Correct! Nat and Synbad will be sailing aboard ENVOLEE in the San Diego to Puerto Vallarta Race. Their class starts March 6, which means if STAR LIMA, with CHANGABANG aboard, is on schedule to dock in San Diego on March 7, ENVOLEE and CHANGABANG should be passing in near proximity somewhere south of San Diego as the ship track northbound from offshore Cedros Island to San Diego is the reciprocal of ENVOLEE's southbound course.

Good news for PJ: Just watched STAR LIMA with CHANGABANG on deck enter Mazatlan Harbor. The webcam on the El Faro lighthouse has a bird's eye view above the the Mazatlan breakwater entrance.

This is Changabang, the mountain. CHANGABANG the boat, aboard the ship STAR LIMA, is currently 40 miles abeam Cabo San Lazaro, 1/4 the way up the west coast of Baja, and 575 nm from San Diego. At current speed of 12.5 knots, a predicted ETA for arrival San Diego is ~6 pm, Thursday, March 5.
