    Default Adrift (2018)

Has anyone seen this movie? It looks like they might have done a much better job on the sailing bits than the Redford flick. I'll probably see it next week sometime.

At least they covered the important part -- that shorthander ocean sailors are all young and extremely attractive!

Here's a snippet from a sailing friend who advised them not to go, as their track would cross hurricane alley at the wrong time:

"Enjoyed Adrift-well done for a sailing flick. Tami’s book disappointed me as I know the full story. We were Fr Poly Class of 83 and enjoyed some fun times in the Marquesas with Tami and Richard and after a meeting on the streets of Papeete where they told me of the offer to sail the Brit boat back to San Diego and my response, which they did not enjoy, I had some strange feeling about the outcome. We were off to Nepal and they off to San Diego. Fr Poly to Hawaii in Sept/Oct is one thing but cutting across the hurricane firing range is insanity. A track so far East leaves little room for maneuvering…"
