    Default Corinthian sss race 2019

Hello Race Chair and all SSS, I am hugely looking forward to this Saturday's Corinthian Race. Since I live out of town in the snowy depths of South Tahoe I am unable to attend the meeting.

I ask the race chair to use VHF radio extensively in this race at the start. The line at this race is long and favored at the pin end. It is impossible to see the signals hoisted from the pin end. I politely urge to announce time, signals, what class is starting on VHF.

    Thanks for the consideration,

    SDK Steve Katzman

~Frustrated~....Friday night, zero wind in the South Bay, and the outboard would run for 3-4 minutes and cut out. Add that to a monstrous flood that I would have had to fight all the way up and I bailed.

The one redeeming factor is that yesterday I finally got the Pelagic autopilot to work. I can't get it on the main circuits on the boat without chainsawing out some furniture, so it will go on it's own direct lead from the batter with a fuse and a switch.

Bummer Alan. I hear your frustration although my outboard simply couldn't get fuel from the tank. I'd pump and pump that little squeeze ball and nothing, tried mouth suction and nothing. Luckily I had a regular small tank in the truck and was able to fill every 25 minutes into the integrated outboard tank which saved the day. See you out there next time!
