Default 2019 LongPac Start and Tracking Info

The 2019 LongPac is off! 15 boats made the start line at 1400 this afternoon, beating into 20 kts wind in the slot and into 25+ kts offshore. It is going to be a tough night out there.

Best place to track boats is: https://www.jibeset.net/tv.php, hith the "Watch" button.

If you get any reports from boats, please share on this thread.

Just a note that the boats' tracker pings are not synchronized, so the tracker page is not a real-time view of the race status, but a general idea of how things are evolving.

Just got word from Dura Mater that they have retired and are back in under the Gate. Wind was 15-20 and lumpy seas. They decided against sailing into the building conditions.

Confirmation from Mulan that they retired due to battery not charging. Bummer as they were doing well. Remaining 11 boats moving along well.

Latest update as of 0400 7/3:

Dura Mater - retired, confirmed back in berth
Daisen’s Den - retired, visually sighted back in the Bay headed to Alameda
Mulan - retired, confirmed back in berth (charging issues)
X-1 - retired, heading to Sausalito (via AIS)

Remaining 9 boats still racing in what looks to be wind in the low 20s gusting to 30+. More of the same to come.
