    Default rail-maker recommendations.

I know Svendsens used to make stern pushpits, pulpits and so on, and they seem to still be in the business...

is there anybody in the central or south bay who does that sort of work nowadays? Less driving would be nice!

I can provide a 1" PVC pipe model of the part.

I just got a verbal estimate from Chris at Svendsens, he was helpful and the cost is reasonable. OK, then!

San Francisco Boatworks sent me to Svendsens and mentioned Chris.

Ruben at BMC says they have a metalworking guy, but he's slammed with work right now, and recommended Chris at Svendsens. So there you go!

    I concur.
When a large power boat blew down on me at Southbeach, Chris straightened a bent stanchion quickly and reasonably.

Chris is "The Man"...three days before the 2014 SHTP, TAZ!! and I had a bad mishap wherein the bow pulpit was torn off the deck. Chris came to my aid and constructed a new pulpit in one day. Gilles Combrisson at GC Rigging and Composites LLC in Pt Richmond repaired the deck and installed the pulpit. I made it to the Corinthian Yacht Club only 4 hours late. That pulpit is still in great shape!!
