Default PHRF certification, other sign-up process for new participant?

    Hi,

I am hoping to participate in some SSS race events this year. Am I correct that if I get a PHRF certificate from this organization:

    https://yra.org/northern-california-...f-certificate/

    I will be set?

Do I need to pay a registration fee to the SSS somehow?

    Thank you in advance,

    Tom

    Welcome Tom!

This page should answer most of your questions:
    https://www.sfbaysss.org/main/racing/how-to-enter/

If you plan to enter more than 2-3 SSS races this year, it's a better deal to become a member. You can do that when you sign up for your first SSS race on Jibeset.

The last time I checked the Three Bridge Fiasco wasn't yet open for entries, but go ahead and apply to YRA for your PHRF certificate and then keep checking the SSS page on Jibeset.

One thing missing from he how-to-enter page is a reference to the standing sailing instructions. The 2021 version isn’t up yet but o than race dates won’t change much from 2020,which is here. The equipment requirements are prolly the most important thing to note on that page.

    Have fun, be safe.

Here's the link. Get your phrf certificate. Looks like YRA is using Jibeset. Makes good sense.
