LongPac Seminar #1 CANCELLED
LongPac Seminar #1 on April 25 at Richmond YC is cancelled – new date and location TBD.
Greetings:
Due to a few scheduling conflicts, the LongPac seminar this Saturday (4/25) will be cancelled and rescheduled. Many apologies for inconveniencing those that made plans to attend.
Please note that at this time, the LongPac “minimum equipment list” will stand as is with a couple exceptions. We’ve received input from a few of you regarding this list, and we very much appreciate your suggestions. Due to your input, we have decided to further investigate LongPac RRC 4.5 regarding Lifelines to determine if Spectra is a viable alternative to wire for the purposes of this race. We will research the working loads (minimum breaking strength/safety factor), and general guidelines for usage, and will make a decision by May 1, 2009.
In addition, the Liferaft Certificate date (LongPac RRC 4.34) was a typo and will be amended to read “no earlier than August 4, 2008”.
