    Default WindPilot

    Good Morning,

perhaps it might be of interest for the Trans-Pac community that we have completed our product range of

    - PACIFIC servo pendulum systems,

    - PACIFIC PLUS servo pendulum powered auxiliary rudder systems

    with our

    - SOS emergency rudder system which can be operated either

    - attached to our PACIFIC system
    - used as stand alone emergeny rudder

The SOS rudder is part of the modular Windpilot product family and uses the same multiadjustable installation brackets. It can be provided ready to fit for any existing boats transom and is available in 2 sizes. The installation even at sea is rather simple thanks to its very simple attachment konus which is being clamped by 2 bolts only.

Facing the increasing number of yachtowners who could normally operate a main rudder related PACIFIC servo pendulum unit, but heading for the PACIFIC PLUS double rudder unit instead to have an emergency rudder option on board, this new product will provide a new option, which can be stowed in a bag below deck... if not used.

Even in a time of improved electronical equipment on board of a sailing boat the stonage technology of silent mechanical windsteering still applies.... as substancial product improvements have been effected.

    kind regards

    Peter Foerthmann
