I thought I's post about a movie I just watched, "Deep Water". I didn't know it existed and was pleasantly surprise when I stumbled on it in Netflix. It's about the first non-stop around the world race in 1968. Hopefully, some of you don't know about it and it'll be an experience to watch it. There is all sorts of 16mm film of the race. Each competitor had a camera. Robin Knox-Johnston, Moitissier, Tetley, Chay Blyth and 5 others. It's mostly about Donald Crowhurst, the guy who wasn't prepared and sailed off into oblivion and suicide (that's the consensus). We all know the story, but this is the film documentary of the race and the sailor.
