    Very nice Adrian!!

And very interesting that the lack of minis doing the SHTP is being stressed over and over... sorry guys I disappointed you so much ;-)

I just hope planets align in 2012 and we can have a small fleet in 2012...

No apology needed Santi - I know how hard you worked to be ready for this year's race and how close you came to making it. Plus your attendance at the Aloha Luncheon and continued participation show you are a "class act."

I really do think we'll have one or more Minis in the 2012 race - it's just a question of which ones. The proto "Flying Ace" (fka "Dingo") #305 is a great-looking boat and is for sale at what seems to be a bargain price - $35,000. One of our SSS'ers needs to step up.

Hi Phil - Alameda Marina, straight in from the Schiller St. (main) gate. Here's more info and Mike's e-mail:

Not a Mini but this is another very attractive boat, commissioned and owned by our local US Sailing certified measurer. With its pedigree and rating it should be very competitive, and it's small/light enough to dry-sail:

If I didn't have a boat I really like I'd be very tempted by either of these.

Now Phil, you can't buy Mike's Mini just because it's named "Flying Ace."

Off to "channel" some epoxy, then UV4000 to reinstall the seahood.

    Thanks Bob,

It's been a long journey, but if everything stays on track I should be sailing with new rudder (and steering) system soon...

Somehow funny that I'm more or less at the position I wanted to be about a year ago, but in much better shape (me and the boat). I'm currently planning for some sailing and then the PSSA season starting with Bishop Rock... that'll be fun!

And all this should land me in the 2012 SHTP...
