I know, I know, and I'm very proud of it!
Thanks for the comment. It's been lots of fun to write...
May I ask if you checked the 'weather' page and if it worked for you? (it does not work yet if you use Internet Explorer, but I believe it works fine with most of the other browsers).
Koh Samia went back into the water today after long refit. We'll be sailing soon!
Yes I did check the weather page and it works fine on safari.
I see all the work you had to do and I'm happy for you that the boat is back in the water. Best of luck, I hope it all works out.
Thanks!
Went sailing yesterday and she sailed beautifully... it was very light (less than 10kt), but with 4 persons on board we did very well. Now I need some more breeze and more miles.
A bit closer to Hawaii today...
Throw in a team of Cal 20's also !
That would really make it interesting ! But alas, my skipper say's he wouldn't want to be on the boat that long with me....( perhaps if i was a female )
Paul Sutchek , Cal20 #624
It's a singlehanded race..... But having more small boats would be great. Robert Crawford did the '08 race on a Cal 20 "Black Feathers" and did well, at that. If you haven't read the book, he wrote a great book bearing the boat's name.
Before I picked up the Mt. Gay 30 for the '10 race, I owned a Cal 25 and was planning on doing '10 SHTP on it. The Cal's are great boats. Small, cheap, locally available and reasonably well built.
Ronnie,
I haven't been keeping up, have you gotten a new ride?????
