Bud Cassidy Sept.19, 1928-August 16, 2022
Long time best friend, "Big Guy Up Front" on HOLIDAY TOO, Star 3497, 1960-1962. Bud was a San Francisco Bay sailor and raced his 110 #335 in the 50's with his beloved wife Ann on Bay waters before the era of dacron sails, trapezes, and spinnaker launchers. During our prep for the recent 110 Nationals, Bud would regularly call to give coaching tips and remind me how they used to pack the spinnaker in a peach crate and crawl to the 110's narrow bow to secure it in place for hoisting. Bud was the Best and I will miss him dearly.
