Any other guesses? Answer will be revealed 6 pm this evening. So far, at least one correct answer. Plenty of room for more spoons in the quart of Marianne's Kahlua Krunch. At least two others know the correct answer, but are holding back.

Lots of fun revisiting an amazing time in sailing history. And the answer is (watch carefully):

And if you don’t recognize anyone, here is another video with captions:

Funny how we all looked so much younger back then.

    Which time zone?
Are there any spoons available for purchase?

Sorry for lateness, but my AT&T internet was down yesterday afternoon for 5 hours as it has been all week. A tech comes today, as well as a VNA Physical Therapist. Something will get a workout. Just not sure if it will be my new knee or the modem/router. Or both.

Here's the deal: I'm awarding 3 spoons for ice cream dipping for the correct answer to what was responsible for the IMP color scheme of gradations of green stripes.

First spoon is awarded to my dear sister, I do not know how she knew #4, the Christian Science Sentinel cover is the answer.

Second spoon is awarded to Capt. Bob in Sunset Beach, Hawaii who knew David Allen (no relation), owner of IMP, was a Christian Scientist, and chose IMP's color while reading the Sept.25, 1976 edition of the CSS.

The third spoon is awarded to DAZZLER, who knew the correct answer all along, and provided hints, including the hint REVOLUTION was all red as well as videos of the cover of the Christian Science Sentinel.

There were two correct answers after DAZZLER's reveal: DAYDREAMER and PJ's. But I can't in fairness award them spoons, as DAZZLER kindly posted video evidence of the correct answer.

    Congrats Marilee, Bob, and Tom!

Do you know how hard I Googled to find an image including Ponds jars and a jar with a dark blue lid????

Carl Schumacher was also a Christian Science adherent. For those who don't know about his life, here's the excellent Latitude 38 article:

    My boat's design was Carl's 53rd.

I actually watched the video after the quiz was posted, but missed the reveal the first time through.
After DAZZLER hinted, I watched it again for the aha.

Looks like it was a fun boat to be a part of!

It was a guess knowing the Allens (no relation, different spelling) were CS followers. I like Marianne’s ice cream.

And Skip, here is your great-grand niece on the beach at Wailea. Never dreamed I’d be a grandmom! Leila:
