The 110 is the smallest of the series, after which there is the 210, 310, 410, and 510. There was a design for a 1010, commissioned by the race car driver Briggs Cunningham, but it was never built. Very cool Pic !

You- or Kimo- sent me a pic of the Sliver/Francis Lee, and I thought at first that it was the Hunt 510. Kimo has informed me about Sparkle, and I knew about Rocinante , but not about Oceanus. Now I do. Great minds think alike. Skinny, double pointy ended boats tend to be quick !

Hi Howard.
The Zephyr was a San Francisco Bay, offshoot development from the 110 Class. It is a single handed 110, 20' long , where 110s are 24'long, but it has a slightly heavier keel than the 110 does, to compensate for the lack of crew weight. They are a total kick to sail, and C Ray Hunt would have approved. He liked nothing better than to screw around with his existing designs.

A new 110 for Fleet 19 in Puget Sound is nearing completion at Tom George's shop at Port Townsend and about to be sent out for fairing, painting, and rigging. But how will Santa get TWITTERPATED down Kimo's chimney?

I'm all for alternative energy sources. But good grief, the winning Euro bidders can't be serious about anchoring floating wind turbines, over 300' high, in waters 3,320 feet deep 20 miles offshore Morro Bay. That's gonna take mighty big anchors and large diameter cables for the so called "wind farm." If one turbine gets loose or capsizes in a winter gale, all bets are off. Yah sure. The feds can't even keep Pt. Pinos R "2" buoy on station through the winter in 185' of water, and it regularly washes ashore.

I am all for alternative energy, but this appears to me not thought out very well. Bodega Bay buoy has been offline for at least a year- maybe more, and is the most reliable sea condition source for leaving or entering Tomales or Bodega. If they can't maintain what they have, I have no faith in this.
