    Bob,

You have sure set the standard for the rest of us. Way to go! My hat's off to you. And nice finishing pic, too.

    Amazing Bob!
It was fun watching you along the way...some serious turboed sailing! Congrats to the entire fleet for getting your boats together and getting to the starting line...RC has done a wonderful job of keeping us all in the loop!! Well done.

    Hi Bob,

Congrats from Temerity -- we passed quite close to you about 1/4 nm outside the Bridge, you were looking good -- sorry we had no camera! Outstanding performance in a very tough year. You'll be boring your grandchildren with the tale one day

    Cheers

Yeah, that was a very impressive sail. Congratulations.

Did you use your new staysail setup?

    Default Thanks

Thank you for all the kind comments! Several months ago we made reservations for a family vacation up to Canada (Banff, Alberta). Since free air miles and timeshare points are covering most of the trip, it can't really be changed. Sadly, it means I'll be gone during the awards meeting. I hope someone can record all the stories. My blathering is already posted on a couple sites but I was really looking forward to hearing from the rest of you.

Adrian, one more notch up in wind and I would have set the #4 on the new stay. We were doing well with a double-reefed main and jib top though. The JT is a paneled Kevlar sail and pretty bullet-proof. Flogging it would shake your teeth out though! At 125% LP it's more of a blast reacher - tool for the job this race.

We are changing the date of the awards meeting so Bob can be there. We can't have the meeting without you Bob!

I will post the new date in a few hours, just need to check on a few things.
